The construction law promulgated by a Royal Kram of November 02, 2019 came into force on November 03, 2019. 

The purpose of this law is to regulate construction on Cambodian soil due to the strong growth in this sector and the lack of regulation to date. The main targets of this law are the building permits, in fact, the requirements to obtain and maintain them are aimed to become more and more precise and rigorous. 

In addition, this law focuses on construction materials that will have to meet higher quality requirements than before.
